Who and what

hello (。◡ ‿ ◕。)

I'm a 21 years-old female college student who lives in a non-English-speaking country. I study Japanese since January of 2012. Recently I haven't been as motivated as before, and not as committed as I wanted to be. I figured out if I continued that way, it would take me a lifetime to learn Japanese.

So I decided to do something to motivate myself. I found a website talking about a "2000 kanji in 3 months" experience. And I figured, maybe it would be nice to try it. Sounds kinda crazy but it got me pumped up and I'm accepting the challenge.

My goal is to learn the MEANING of 30 kanjis each day. If I spend 5 minutes on each kanji, I will have to study 2:30h every day just for the new kanjis, and I will consider 1 more hour for reviewing the kanjis already learned (although by now these times are just roughly estimated).

That means I will have all the 2040 kanji meanings covered on the book "Remembering the kanji vol.1" by JULY/27. (1020 meanings by JUNE/23).

My secondary goal is to write a post on lang-8 OR read a lesson on LingQ every day. I will leave half an hour for this task.

Summing everything up, I estimate spending 4 hours every day studying japanese. [ Eh...that's a lot. I'm deleting this blog right now. lol ]
Of course I'll do some of that in the bus, while waiting in lines, and so on. It's all about being able to use any free minutes I find in my day.

I will use this blog to keep track of my progress and remind me about my goal. Also to remember the hard times once I accomplish my goal (cause I will ┐( ̄ヮ ̄)┌ )

See you soon~
